Mission and Prayer
 I had a wonderful opportunity to end my year with a collegiate missions conference and begin the year praying for another college age conference. Campus Renewal Ministries had an exhibitor booth at Urbana, an InterVarsity Missions conference, and it was an awesome time connecting with students and campus ministers about being active in prayer and mission where they are. We came away with quite a few people who were interested in on-going partnerships. I then hopped on a plane New Year's Eve from St. Louis to Atlanta, where the Passion Conference was taking place. I've been going off and on for the past 14 years on the intercessory prayer team, where we get to pray in 3 hour watches 24 hours a day for the students, speakers, and the like. If you've never done anything like that, I suggest you take an opportunity to do some praying "on-site with insight" at a conference. It will encourage you and strengthen your prayer life!
One of the things I absolutely loved was the momentum of unity that I saw in those conference - not surprising, given the ministry in which I serve. At Urbana, which happened to be the same time as One Thing in Kansas City, there was a live stream greeting and prayer from the leaders and attendees there, and we shout our own appreciation. At Passion, Kim Walker-Smith and the Jesus Culture Band, another strong young adult ministry, joined together for the first time with the Passion Band to lead worship. What an electric experience! I believe these are hands on examples of the Body of Christ united in spirit. I love it!

So the semester has started, and there are a number of events coming up that I would love for you to pray with us on:
- One Cry Campus gatherings taking place at campuses and churches in NYC in February, March, and the start of April
- Our first Prayer Congress, a seminar on effective prayer, happening Feb. 9 in NYC
- Our Citywide One Cry gathering in NYC, April 12
- Campus Transformation Network Leader's gathering in early May
I’m so excited to for what this next year brings; I'm sure there is more, but that is what is on the calendar for now!
| Prayer Requests - With 2 full-time staff, and 3 more raising their funds, and 2 associate staff, it has become mission critical to get office space. With a small budget, that has been challenging in NYC.
- My personal budget is till just a little over halfway raised; and I may have to raise the budget even more.
- Related to the last point; I would like to get to the point where I can get on the health sharing plan CRM is a part of.
- My landlord seems to have a problem with keeping the heat on. My roommate and I would like a peaceable and viable solution!
